2025 SVdP Scholarship Award

The mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Educational Assistance Program is to help students achieve their dreams by helping them change their economic situation. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford will award up to 5 college scholarships of $1000 to high school seniors to assist with their freshman-year tuition. This scholarship is renewable for their sophomore year if the student maintains eligibility.

Criteria for Applicants

1. We seek motivated students displaying evidence of both financial need and strong moral character.

2. Applicants must be full-time students, entering either an accredited four-year college, community college, or technical school, and be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours per term.

3. Applicants can be of any faith but must reside in Seminole or Volusia Counties or be attending Bishop Moore or Father Lopez High Schools.

4. Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.4 GPA.

5. Applicants must complete and verify FAFSA (i.e. a Pell Grant), and apply for other scholarships or loans.

• Applicants chosen to be interviewed will be notified and must be available one weekday evening for an in-person interview in April or May 2025.   

• The awarded scholarship money will be deposited in a student's account at their school of choice.  

• We ask scholarship recipients to plan on attending the St. Vincent de Paul Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 7 PM in Sanford, FL.
